Some sketches from our trip to Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon and Hoi An last weekend. I don't often get a chance to sit down and draw on our trips so it was nice to squeeze these in.

Twitter sketches

 I've been posting sketches to my Twitter since my computer and scanner have been in storage.  I've always considered myself a pretty traditional artist, however, 4 months of just having a sketchbook and some pens has been a bit frustrating.  But the computer and scanner have been delivered so here's a collection of said twitter sketches along with a couple photoshop sketches for good measure.

With my move back stateside I won't have my workstation set up for another 2 months (our stuff is drifting back via boat through what is apparently all 7 seas) and this should be the best way for me to continue posting art.

Monster Pages

Did these a few months ago to get back in the swing of doing sequentials. Since they were just for practice I pretty much drew straight onto the page after doing a rough thumbnail.

Hair

I was doing a little coffee shop sketching and feeling fairly uninspired when this guy and his hair walked by the window. So I commenced to doodling and failed to notice that the guy came in, bought an espresso and sat down at the bar right next to me. I've never been busted by anyone who caught me sketching them and luckily this guy shotgunned his drink and was back out the door in about 8 seconds so I think I was safe...or maybe he was just mad that I didn't capture the essence of that hair.
