Zombie Process

Trying out a new technique.

I took a quick sketch and put down some quick marker tones on a sheet of tracing paper. Scanned them in separately and converted the marker tones to halftone dots in photoshop...lined everything up and put a gradient layer over the whole thing and set it to screen. I'm not sure if it's faster to lay in the tones digitally or by hand, but I kind of like teh way the effect turned out.

On a side note, I 'm not much of a zombie guy...I was probably watching too much Walking Dead when I sketched this up.

Pencils, Inks and Colors

I was doing warm ups by sketching out of magazines and I dropped some quick inks and colors on this one. I had no intention of coloring him like the Joker but what's done is done.

I haven't been posting much work up lately but I have been drawing whenever I get a chance. I should have some more substantial stuff to be posting soon.

Been a long time

Actually, it's been a very long time since I posted anything here. I usually post to my deviantart page http://tonybrescini.deviantart.com/ but I'll start updating both sites for the time being.

Without further ado, here's a Hulk sketch to kickstart the old sketchblog again (Staedtler Mars GD 3000 brushpen, Pro-White and Photoshop for the very hastily done halftones).
